Awards for zero emission solutions

Awards for zero emission solutions

It is not only in the world of actors and musicians that receiving praise from your industry has significance. In the construction machinery industry, awards and recognition for special performance carry just as much importance – because an official award is an indication that the manufacturer is on the right track with his product development. Wacker Neuson recently received not one but two awards for its developments in the field of zero emissions.

Wacker Neuson’s first electrically-powered Mini-excavator wins Award

“And the winner is – the EZ17e battery-powered excavator from Wacker Neuson!” With these words, Georg Jung, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson Italy, was called to the stage (in the picture f.l.t.r.: Luciano Rizzi, Exhibition Manager Agriexpo & Technology Veronafiere; Georg Jung, Managing Director Wacker Neuson Italy; Costantino Radis, President of Jury of SaMoTer Innovation Award; Maurizio Danese, Veronafiere President).  The award was handed over in January during a ceremony at the press event for the Italian international construction equipment trade fair SaMoTer, which takes place in May this year. Efficiency and optimal integration of electric propulsion and performance – these are the qualities that won the jury over in the “hydraulic mini-excavator” category. The zero-tail EZ17e is Wacker Neuson’s first fully electric excavator. This award is further proof that Wacker Neuson is taking yet another step in the right direction with its zero emission range – and in particular with this latest addition, the EZ17e. Being able to work with no emissions and a low noise level so that operators and the environment are protected, offering consistent performance and opening up new areas of application – this is becoming increasingly sought-after in the industry.

World First receives Innovation Award

Another special award was granted to Wacker Neuson at the beginning of 2020: the VDBUM Innovation Award (VDBUM: the German association for the construction industry, environmental and mechanical engineering). The world’s first internal vibrator with a replaceable battery as a backpack system, also from the zero emission range, was launched in the fall of 2019. The battery-converter backpack makes it possible to work without a power cable, which means new freedom of movement for the end user and a high level of operating comfort during concrete consolidation. The powerful lithium-ion battery provides enough energy for a whole workday, thereby making the operator’s daily work much easier. Overall, Wacker Neuson has already won over 20 awards for its zero emission solutions.
